House Of Vionnet Loses Another Designer: Marc Audibet Resigns

Marc Audibet, the respected French designer and former alumnus of Hermes and Prada, has just resigned from the House of Vionnet. Audibet had been recruited in May 2007 to replace British designer Sofia Kokosalaki who left Vionnet after only two seasons. Mr. Audibet was not coy about the reasons for his departure. He stated emphatically that “(…) faced with the inability of Vionnet’s management to provide the material and financial conditions required to carry out the collections and given the lack of responsiveness of management to his questions, sadly, he had no choice but to resign his position of creative director of the brand”.
