I’ve been away for a while, I had a lot of work to do in the "real" life. Back online to talk about Osvaldo Cavandoli, cartoonist and illustrator who died a month ago, age 87.
He worked a lot in Tv and in advertisement. His main character, Mr. Line (La Linea) was so simple and funny. It was the testimonial for the best italian brand for steel kitchenware, Lagostina.
Artist Franck Scurti, a few years ago, dedicated an exhibit at Galerie Anne de Villepoix in Paris to Mr.Line, creating a few "tableaux" and a video, in which the character was walking through newspaper stock listings, a funny metaphore of global economy. Here is a pic.
