A day in Brooklyn by Antoine Asseraf and rare books for sale

Hello Diane, Hello Shaded Viewers,

Aa1

a little note from NY. My friend Yoann Lemoine and I spent the day
walking about Williamsburg, more precisely the blocks between Bedford
Avenue and the East River. Warehouses, wastelands…and small wonders.

Tucked in between 2 construction sites we stumbled upon the cutest
little place, About Glamour. Inside, we spent almost an hour looking
in wonder at some great vintage finds (YSL bathtowels! Gaultier
jacket in pristine condition for $65!), all sorts of Japanese imports
(cameltoe worker shoes, patterned gloves, kawaii tape) and an
exhibition of very cute and clean illustrations, which opens on
friday.

Several times, on our way out, we spotted some little item
and headed back to the register.

Then after all this walking and shopping, we rested in my favorite NY
diner, Relish, which sits in the middle of nowhere, across from an
old-school biker shops. Their veggie burgers are orgasmic. In more
clement weather, they also have a fabulous terrace garden.
