Dear Shaded Viewers,
a month ago La Triennale in Milan hosted the opening of Franco Albini exhibition, designed by Renzo Piano. I was away so I had the chance to see it only a couple of days ago.
Albini was an architect and designer, born at the beginning of last century, who did a lot of high class apartments, welfare housing and furniture objects. He tried to give to Italian bourgeois homes a touch of modern lightness. Take a look at his own apartment:
When your conservative friends NEED to hang an old oil family painting, it doesn’t have to be in a gold frame…
A couple of design shots: the coffee table "Cicognino" (it means "little stork"),
and the nylon birdcage (or butterflycage): isn’t he a genius?!
