DP Portrait by Jesus Sandoval, Sonny’s news and You Wear it Well is off to Antwerp for the Vitrine and a new site for make-up junkies

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I woke up to beautiful posts in my mailbox today.I am not going to show you what Robb Young sent me but it is a killer. I am sure that he did not sleep at all last night. Jesus Sandoval, who you no doubt remember from our LA screening of You Wear it Well, he was carrying the sign for EGR’s film, Clinica, sent me this portrait. He called me his angel, I will have to try and live up to that, afterall his name is Jesus.

Sonny Vandevelde is off to New York this week to cover the shows for us and I’m super happy about that and I’m sure that you are too. He’s flying out on American airlines where you are allowed to take laptops again , and a book , but no pda, no gameboy, no ipod, no digital cameras.Whereas on the British airways site , they say you are allowed to take all of the above including digital cameras, just none of the toothpaste, liquids etc… He wants to change his flight.

While Sonny is covering NYC, You Wear it Well is moving to Antwerp for the Vitrine. Instead of one screen we will have an installation of 15 screens, each programmed with one to three films. We’ve added a few of the films that we had wanted to include but that never made it on time for our LA deadline: Jordan Scott’s “Thunder Perfect Mind” made for Prada, ‘Quiet Please’ by Jens Laugesen and Jean Francois Carly and Marcus Werner Hed and ‘Blinded by Fireworks’ by Ada Bligaard Soby made for Henrik Vibskov and 7 short films that Disciple Films and I had made for GWAND. The films will premier in Antwerp on the 7th and wil stay up until the 30 September. If you missed You Wear it Well in LA, SF or Copenhagen, come join us in Antwerp.

Later,

Diane

P.S. Make-up junkies take note, David Frank Ray has a new site Makeupbeat. com Years ago DFR did my make-up for a story on me in Italian Vogue, well, it was not just on me it was called first ladies of style and we all had to wear our style but in white. You can visit my DP History file on the site to see the only image of DP in white. All this to say DFR did my make-up and to this day I think that he is one of the best.
