Dear Shaded Viewers,
The sun shined all day today. Nicolas came to pick Sonny and I up and take us to knitwear designer Sandra Backlund’s new atelier/shop.
Sandra Backlund models her red knitted dress. She makes one of a kind pieces that she creates as collages working on small parts and building the design as she goes. Before deciding to become a designer she had thought that she might want to become a hairdresser. Her work has already found it’s way onto the pages of Italian Vogue and ID. She plans to show her work in Paris during the collections. I also heard the rumour that her entire collection was out for a Madonna video. I would not be surprised if a filmmaker like Almadovar or Ridley Scott one day sees her value and picks her up to design the costumes for one of their films.
After our visit with Sandra Backlund with went on to lunch with Patrick Soderstam. Here he is with Nicolas our star guide and Sonny. Patrick Soderstam on his bike with it’s prized handle bars.
Naomi Itkes-Sznap and her magazine Littces and filmmaker, Werner Hed. Then we decided to visit Jelena Rundqvist’s Tensta Konsthall. While waiting for a taxi we ran into Olof Erlandsson, who we had met yesterday and model/singer Anya. Don’t you think she would be perfect for Ann Demeulemeester? She will be singing at Paris Paris on the 6 October and has just signed a contract with Universal.
