All of the images above belong to the grand prize winner Demna Gvasalia. That’s him in the red t-shirt presenting his collection to the jury. Clearly a torture for him but like he said, the collection speaks for itself.
The contenders:
It is funny, before the show I only had time to visit Mikio Sakabe and Demna Gvasalia and I am happy to say that both of them were important winners. Here is a picture of Mikio when we met, then on Friday after the show and again on Saturday when he was awarded his prize. I posted some images of his clothes from my phone on Friday.
Before the show I had dinner with the jury, the Chairman of the Fashion Department and the instructors. The pure joy of the finale is my favorite moment at school shows. I might add that this is the longest school show that I’ve ever attended. Almost 4 hours and they play to an audience of 2,000 3x during the week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
