Every Thursday at LA’s only dedicated lezbo cantina, The Palms, Hollywood’s most vivacious little bombshell, Selene Luna, hosts “Budoir Du BurLez,” an ever changing smorgasbord of risque entertainment and gender in upheavel. And since I’ve always had S.L.E. (Severe Lesbian Envy), it was my pleasure to part the proverbial beef curtains and see what Selene was up to this time….
Selene teeters to the edge of her budoir-decorated stage, coyly asking her fans: “Don’t you wish you were small….girlfriend?”
Yes, this is THE Rebekah Del Rio, the same chanteuse you may have seen in the David Lynch film, “Mulholland Dr.” where she takes the stage in a creepy and nearly empty old theater and performs “Llorando,” a heart-stopping, Spanish translation of Roy Orbison’s “Crying,” sung a cappella. Rebekah served us a full slice of “Llorando” as well as other full-bodied parlor songs in both English and Spanish. (For a little background on her appearance in “Mulholland Drive,” check out http://www.rebekahdelrio.com/llorando.html)
Pierre and Guillaume Sultana (of Galerie Baumet Sultana), good friends of mine in from Paris, and sharing my curiosity for the other side of the beef curtains…
Nick, it truly was a pleasure meeting you. But if you kidnap my camera and give it back to me half an hour later, allowing me to then find this sultry picture of you on it as you’re pointing to your bottle opener, how can I NOT post it and offer the world a chance to send in their own caption for this image….
We love Diamondback Annie and her Elvis drag king drag.
Click here for her sweet striptease clip. (Elvis would have wanted it this way.)
