Tonight I went to the screening of a documentary by Maria de Medeiros. A very funny and beautifully constructed film on the relationship between film directors and their critics. Filmed entirely at the Cannes film festival. I laughed all the way through it.
I met Maria years ago when I was designing her costumes for a film by Arnold Barkus, a friend from NYC. This photo does not do her justice. You are more likely to remember her when she played the girlfriend of Bruce Willis in Quentin Tarantenio’s Pulp Fiction.
