DINO DINCO : SCREW YOU AND YOUR AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM

Short of running out of coffee beans at home, nothing is more aggravating than getting trapped inside an automated phone system when you need something fixed, a wrong righted, or a certain $ 3000 thats missing from your checking account tracked down.

Just came across this cheat sheet for knifing your way through the auto-systems and into a real person.

Priceless.

Even though I occasionally work on music videos, I don’t really understand who watches them besides children.  Do forty year olds sit around watching music promos?  (Not to be an ageist, but I think its interesting that so many video directors are at least 20 – 30 years older than the video-watching audience.  Kinda pervy, no? "Here kids.. have some jiggling, oiled down back-up dancers with your Cheerios…")  Ever work on a music video shoot?  The seriousness is incredible.  The money is incredible.  But by and large, the disposability of the product is shocking.  Remember that video where the band members are flying around….? No, me neither.

However, my friend Darrin just sent me the link to this video (short film) by Pleix for an older song called "The Birds" by Vitalic.  It’s kinda refreshing in its absence of storytelling, cheeseball choreography, and band performance where the band plays instruments without any kind of audio cables attached to their guitars.  I think it’s making the blog circuit at the moment.  And I’m just a lemming…

I’m now going to try to replicate some of these moves with my own dogs.
