Last Day of New Zealand Fashion Week

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The Karen Walker show will close the New Zealand Fashion Week tonight but by the time the show is over the media center will be closed so here is a wrap up of the week.

My favorite collections were Zambesi. nomD, Liz Mitchell and Kate Sylvester. I really enjoyed the Westfield Style Pasifika, not so much for the fashion as for the colors and performances.

This morning  Robb and I went to the Zambesi showroom to take a closer look at the collection. I had Robb try on a few of the pieces and I tried on one Loretta Young in the 50’s type hostess dress that I quite loved.

Then we went off to Elisabeth’s sister’s showroom,  Elisabeth Findlay being the designer behind the Zambesi label and Margarita Robertson  the NomD designer. I had RObb try on a few more pieces here too but first he had a lie down on the white leather bench.Robblayingdown It was kind of a joke between us because in the morning New Zealand Herald there was a mention of my absence in a column written  by Alan Perrott, talking about my absence at the Little Brother show.."..but sadly the sun was still up so there was no sighting of the Grim Reaper wannabe, fashion writer Diane Pernet. Her website says she was at dinner, so bang go the vampire rumours." All I can say to Alan Perrott if you want to see me as a Grim Reaper you could at least drop the wannabe… Made me laugh at breakfast.
