Milan Diary- spare, dry and pictureless by angelo flaccavento

Dear Shaded viewers,

it’s been a while since my last passage in this shady spot of cyberspace. In the meantime I’ve entered a heavily, painfully minimalistic phase. Thereafter these notes from Milan, where I’m attending the women’s wear shows for s/s 06, will be spare and dry and, va sans dire, picture-less.

day1

Byblos is romantic with something tuff, while D&G is white and trashy, a crash between a XVIII century boudoir babe and Jody Foster as the little prostitute in Taxi Driver, apparently inspired by Sarah Moon. Oh well. Just Cavalli morphs dollies into Couregges creatures with tropical hints, all of it on massive platforms. At Pollini, Rifat Ozbek is stuck in his very own early 90s- music included. And finally Dirk Bikkembergs is in Alicia keys mode. He never fails to show soccer players with massive tights on the catwalk, though. its just his fetish, clearly.
