I was visiting a friend in the hospital the other day and saw this chart taped to the mini-fridge in his room. I liked its graphic simplicity and how it made pain so easy to categorize. Just before ripping the chart from the fridge, I made sure that he had memorized the entire range of pain facial expressions, on the chance that he experience pain after I had left his room.
