AINUR TURISBEK SPRING SUMMER 2014 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

If you ever get tired of the usual show circuit -also known as The Circus- I suggest you head out to Kazakhstan where new designers have flourished over the past years. One of them is Ainur Turisbek, a womenswear designer who is entirely self-taught and manages to infuse her clothes with sensuality and ease. Turisbek favors sculptural shapes and clear lines, with a strong desire for elegance and purity. For her last collection, she only picked natural fibers, such as silk, cotton, cashmere and wool. Using local scenery and striking animals, the look book was shot by Amira Fritz and styled by Lotta Volkova.

Best,

Philippe
