Dear Shaded Viewers,

The Ancient Greek philosopher Hypatia inspired Silvina Maestro to think mathematically about her latest collection. Conical shapes and ellipses form the basis of skirts cut with technical precision, while the Grecian element is apparent in elegantly draped dresses.

Digital prints bring us on a journey through nature, from floral images on natural fabrics to pollution and synthetics. Maestro's work is very considered, almost every element of the collection has a conceptual reason behind it, and yet it manages to maintain an effortless outward appearance. I understand this is the London based designer's first venture outside the world of monochrome, and the golden touch is a nice addition for spring summer.
