CARLOS MOTTA’s 25 years of artistic practice — CARLOS MOTTA’s 25 years of artistic practice — PRAYERS OF RESISTANCE | AT MACBA BARCELONA 💖🩷 “Motta’s artistic career began when he was very young, in the late 1990s, shortly before he emigrated and settled in New York. The exhibition pays special attention to the artist’s engagement with political histories and social movements – and, more specifically, with the politics of sexuality and gender, as well as with the so-called HIV/AIDS crisis – and its contemporary implications on the fragility of bodies.
