Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
The final collection from Central Saint Martins graduate, Lucy Offen, is young and playful yet shows off her skills as a mature designer. Offen integrated elements from luxury and street cultures to create what is essentially her vision of excess – a soft sheer blouse with unapologetically shiny PVC, all-over floral shirts with jarring neon fur bags, and voluminous silhouettes completely covered in holographic prints – though it was visibly a positive version of excess, as it never crossed the line into being gaudy, and this is perhaps Offen's strongest skill of all.
