On the occasion of the upcoming Salon du Dessin, curator Judith Touitou and Hôtel Drouot join forces to present a selection of works on view from March 18 to 27, 2026. The venue also unveils its 2026 edition of Œuvres Choisies, devoted to Drouot’s flagship exhibition room and centred on major works soon to appear at auction. Together, the two presentations celebrate the eclecticism and majesty of this quintessential Parisian auction house.
Under the title TRAIT D’UNION, the main hall pays tribute to the revered French sculptor Anne Barrès, now 88, showcasing a collection of her sculptures and drawings ahead of the first auction of her studio estate this April by Art Valorem.
Alongside Barrès’s work are pieces by Sisley, Matisse, Picasso, Miró, Munch, and Toulouse-Lautrec, reflecting the breadth of artistic exchange that has long defined Drouot’s spirit.

“I chose to offer Drouot a free and open dialogue between works of astonishingly varied periods and statuses—an approach I believe perfectly suits this venue, steeped in history yet vibrantly alive. It is a profoundly Parisian setting, offering a fluid and democratic alternative to traditional exhibition formats. I thank Drouot for granting me this unique opportunity to engage with such beauty and to present my personal vision for this major exhibition,” says Judith Touitou.

A long-admired figure in the fashion world, Judith Touitou co-led A.P.C. alongside her husband Jean Touitou for nearly thirty years. Her curatorial approach conveys the same intuitive elegance that defined her fashion work, and while only on view for a short time, it is wholly worth the visit.
