Mark your calandars for the Daido Tokyo Exhibition at Fondation Cartier February 6 – June 5th. This is Daido Moriyama's second exhibition at Fondation Cartier, the first was in 2003. This exhibition will focus on his new work featuring a large selection of color photographs, Daido Tokyo. The Fondation Cartier has commissioned a new work by Moriyama in conjusnction with the exhibition, Dog and Mesh Tights. If you are a Daido Moriyama fan for sure you are familiar with his iconic Dog photo from the very beginning of his career. It will be a multi screen projection of blackand white photographs which will take us into the commotion of the contemporary Tokyo and the daily lie of urban hustle.
In addition to the exhibition there will be "A la carte" (Printing Show) on February 5th with a special onetimeonly Printing show with Daido Moriyama. Participants select 30 images among 60 chosen by Daido Moriyama put them together to create their own book which is bound. Each book will be signed by Daido Moriyama. Exhibition Catalog and two limited edition lithographs to be printed by Item editions, 40 copeis of each will be made available.
