Mike Amiri invites us into a Los Angeles that feels like it only fully exists after midnight— a time when a dangerously magnetic stranger leans in with a casual “One drink?” and somehow it’s suddenly sunrise. For Spring/Summer 2027, AMIRI captures the moment you slip into a version of yourself gravitating toward its neon after-hours glow – elegance, glamour, and seduction at core, almost effortless, almost instinctive.
Paris’s endless heatwave is playing with our minds. Inside Carreau du Temple, I quickly claimed an industrial fan and, for a brief moment, considered a lifelong commitment. Then the room shifted—lights dropped, sound rose, and AMIRI redirected all that heat toward something far more magnetic on the runway. From the opening look, the show carried the pulse of Studio 54. Not literally, but spiritually. The soundtrack seduced, and the models walked with slow, deliberate confidence. The beauty of the collection resides in its ease. Tailoring lost its rigidity, with relaxed shoulders and fluid proportions replacing anything overly constructed. There was something undeniably sexy about that restraint—not loud or flashy, but quietly self-assured. Denim found itself comfortably paired with elegant blazers, traditional tweeds shimmered with metallic threads, while silk, linen, and subtle lurex reflected flashes of silver, tobacco, midnight navy, and lavender.
Even the styling understood the assignment. Bow ties were left undone as if the wearer had either just arrived from somewhere interesting or was about to leave for somewhere better. The collaboration with Spinelli Kilcollin brought a sharper layer of clarity into the mix. The Los Angeles fine jewelry house, founded by Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin, is best known for its modular, interconnected rings—architectural pieces that link multiple bands together, designed to be worn stacked, spaced, or stretched across the hand. Here, that signature sculptural language appeared in motion, punctuating the clothes with a precise glint.
In that suspended rhythm, the collection lands its final mood: a lingering pulse. AMIRI SS27 turns the night into a long afterglow, where tomorrow feels less like a deadline and more like a possibility you can postpone.
