LA CAGE presents ‘The Wanderer’ FW26 Collection: Movement and Identity in Transit

Dear Shaded Viewers,

LA CAGE FW26 is built around the figure of the Mad Traveler, inspired by the true story of Albert Dadas, a 19th-century French man compelled to walk endlessly, crossing borders without destination, luggage, or memory. Travel here is about condition. Movement as necessity, identity shaped by displacement.

In conversation with Victoria Baia and Victor Koehler, the minds behind LA CAGE, the collection reads as an exploration of bodies in transit and unstable identities.

Always a pleasure to see their work. Again, some images were captured with my Lumix camera, this time with the support of my photo assistant, Liam Elias.

I’m very much looking forward to their upcoming film and hope to see it submitted to ASVOFF.

Yours digitally,
Pedro
