Dear Shaded Viewers,
During Milan Green Week, Fondazione Sozzani sows a vision — not simply a bag, but a talisman born of care, culture, and the quiet revolution of community. The Seeds Tote Bag emerges in limited edition, graced with the visual poetry of artist Kris Ruhs, woven through the hands and dreams of Bonotto and Cooperativa Alice.
Each thread of the tote is a story, pulsing with legacy. Bonotto, since 1912, has spun innovation on looms from another epoch: rare, Japanese, their wooden shuttles dancing the choreography of tradition. GOTS-certified organic cotton becomes fabric not just to touch but to contemplate — artisanal in its soul and durable as an heirloom.
Beyond the looms, Cooperativa Alice stitches with intention. Since 1992, their seamstresses — women reclaiming futures inside Lombardy prisons — mend not only cotton, but lives and possibilities. The cooperative’s mission: restore dignity through “made in Italy” authenticity and champion ethical transformation.
This bag is not static — it’s a movement, activating quality, tradition, and mindfulness. It’s a vessel for seeds, raised by hands committed to inclusion and sustainability, presented as art and as action.
As September unfolds, Fondazione Sozzani invites Milan to witness a new harvest: where textile becomes text, and carrying a bag becomes carrying forward hope.
