Dear Shaded Viewers,

To mark its 10th anniversary, Ruslan Baginskiy presents a poetic and powerful installation at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, transforming the legendary Art Nouveau landmark into a tribute to Ukrainian culture. Until August 25, 2025, the department store becomes the stage for a multidimensional project titled Ruslan Baginskiy Tales.

As an act of cultural preservation: twelve windows, reimagined. A pop-up on the ground floor. A shop-in-shop above.

“Every window becomes our voice. A voice about Ukraine’s beauty and about loving who we are,” says Ruslan. “We didn’t want to display hats. We wanted to display heritage.”

Woven willow from Iza, honoring a UNESCO-recognized craft. Sculptural tributes to Kazimir Malevich and the Ukrainian avant-garde. A soaring baker boy cap, oversized charms, and bold tones of blue and yellow, all part of what Baginskiy calls a “street exhibition.”

A reminder that fashion can be a form of memory, and that memory, when held with care, becomes a quiet act of resistance.
