from Parley for the Oceans (Parley)
The Parley Label: Where Creativity Meets Science
At the heart of this partnership is the Parley label, a collaborative ‘laboratory-space’ that fuses creativity with scientific innovation. This isn’t about greenwashing or minor adjustments to existing practices. Instead, it’s a fundamental reimagining of fashion’s role in our world and its potential to drive positive change.
Beyond Plastic: The Material Revolution
For over a decade, Parley has been at the forefront of combating plastic pollution. Now, they’re taking a quantum leap forward with Parley Future Material. This initiative isn’t just about finding alternatives to plastic; it’s about sparking a material revolution that could redefine the very essence of luxury and desirability in fashion.
A New Era of Eco-Innovation
The fashion industry has long been criticized for its environmental impact. This partnership aims to transform that narrative, positioning fashion as a catalyst for environmental solutions rather than a contributor to the problem. By leveraging Dover Street Market’s creative prowess and Parley’s environmental expertise, this collaboration has the potential to set new industry standards and inspire widespread change. As we look towards the first collaborative project in March 2025 and the main collection launch in June 2025, one thing is clear: this partnership isn’t just about creating sustainable fashion. It’s about reimagining the entire fashion ecosystem, from materials to manufacturing to consumer perceptions. In doing so, Parley and Dover Street Market are not just designing clothes; they’re crafting a new future for fashion and our planet.

About Parley for the Oceans
Parley for the Oceans is a new form of environmental organization that brings together creators, thinkers, and leaders across brands, governments, creative communities, and environmental groups to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of the oceans and collaborate on projects that can end their destruction. What started as a collaboration space has fast become an award-winning global movement and network with its multidisciplinary approach and Parley AIR Strategy (Avoid, Intercept, Redesign). Parley works to accelerate solutions to marine plastic pollution, climate change, and overfishing with operations in over 28 countries.
Parley understands current plastic is a design failure, sees the long-term solution in a Material Revolution where harmful materials such as plastic are being replaced with new and non-toxic alternatives. To catalyze awareness and fund initiatives focused on direct impact, education, material science, and eco-innovation. Parley introduced Ocean Plastic®, a catalyst material made from intercepted marine plastic waste to replace virgin plastic while raising awareness and funds that empower leaders in the sports, fashion and luxury industries to transform products into symbols of change. Under the name ‘Parley Future Material’, Parley introduces natural materials, biofabrication and green chemistry as alternatives to conventional and often harmful material standards. Parley has formed with major partners including adidas, Anheuser Busch InBev (Corona), American Express, Comme des Garçons, Dior, Republic of the Maldives, United Nations, The World Bank, British Fashion Council; alliances and collaborations spanning the worlds of science.
