SYSTEM FW25: A Touch of English Charm By Bethany Berkeley

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Seoul based brand SYSTEM’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week, took inspiration from the nostalgic thrill of childhood dressing-up, drawing parallels to Norman Rockwell’s iconic painting “Dressing Up.” The Seoul-based brand blended English countryside charm with its signature minimalist aesthetic, resulting in a collection that was both playful and sophisticated.

Referencing images of English boarding schools, the collection featured schoolboy ties, plaid scarves, and structured knitwear. Barbour-style jackets and oversized blazers added to the classic British feel.

A key element was the interplay of textures. Silky shirting was juxtaposed with textural layers of alpaca wool and suede, creating a sense of depth and dimension. Partnering with British brand Baracuta, putting their own spin on the brands classic G9 Harrington jacket.

Later,

Bethany
