Ann Demeulemeester’s Pre-Fall 2025: A Textural Symphony of Art and Fashion – Stefano Gallici, Creative Director

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In the heart of Paris, Ann Demeulemeester’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection emerges as a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy and its bold stride into the future. Under the stewardship of Stefano Gallici, the collection is a masterful blend of the house’s iconic aesthetics and contemporary artistry.Gallici’s vision for Ann Demeulemeester continues to unfold with the expansion of the “Wardrobe Collection,” a concept that marries timeless elegance with everyday versatility. This season, however, the designer pushes boundaries by intertwining fashion with fine art, collaborating with London-based photographer Cole Flynn Quirke.

Quirke’s evocative imagery breathes new life into the garments, appearing as prints, collages, and scripts. His cinematic eye transforms the collection into a living canvas, where each piece tells a story of light, shadow, and form. This collaboration not only honors Ann Demeulemeester’s tradition of artistic partnerships but also infuses the collection with a fresh, contemporary energy.

The Pre-Fall 2025 lineup is a tactile feast. A double-breasted trench coat in satin-structured leather stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to impeccable tailoring, while a long-sleeved, extra-long flared dress in black embodies the poetic fluidity that has long been a hallmark of the house. These pieces, among others, showcase Gallici’s ability to balance structure with softness, creating a harmonious dialogue between form and fabric. In this vain the devore  long dresses and inserts in slouchy jackets particularly caught my eye. Soft semigloss calfskin and brushed wool offer a sensory experience that goes beyond the visual, embodying the collection’s dedication to craftsmanship and quality. One outstanding look is the raised neckline, long black leather coat. A new capsule collection introduced denim for the first time into wardrobe. This material will be expanded in the future.

The Wardrobe collection, a cornerstone of Ann Demeulemeester’s recent strategy, continues to evolve. It presents a curated selection of essentials – from sleek blazers to crisp white shirts and flowing black trousers – that capture the essence of the brand while providing a canvas for personal style expression.

Gallici’s collaboration with Quirke is more than just a meeting of fashion and photography; it’s a celebration of creative synergy. By bringing together these two art forms, the collection becomes a multi-dimensional experience, reaffirming Ann Demeulemeester’s position at the forefront of artistic innovation in fashion.

Stefano Gallici’s Ann Demeulemeester’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection stands as a powerful statement of the brand’s past, present, and future – a textural symphony that resonates with both longtime admirers and new audiences alike.
