In a move that has sent ripples through the fashion industry, renowned designer Dries Van Noten has announced the appointment of Julian Klausner as the brand’s new creative director. Klausner, a talented designer who has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s aesthetic, will take over the reins and continue the legacy of the iconic fashion house.
Klausner, a 33-year-old Belgian designer, has been working closely with Van Noten since 2018, contributing significantly to the brand’s women’s collections. Before joining the brand, he was a junior designer at Maison Margiela and also attended and graduated from La Cambre in Brussels in 2016. His appointment marks a seamless transition, ensuring the continuity of Dries Van Noten’s signature style while ushering in a new era of creativity and innovation.
Van Noten, who announced his retirement earlier this year, expressed his confidence in Klausner’s ability to lead the brand into the future. “I have complete confidence in Julian’s creativity and vision,” he said. “He is not only a talented designer but also a clear choice to take over after my departure. Klausner’s first womenswear collection as creative director is expected to debut on March 5th during Paris Fashion Week. The brand is set to present its FW25 men’s collection in lookbook form, directed by Klausner. His first men’s show will take place in June 2025, offering a glimpse into the future of the brand.
