In reveries, we drift on winds of light, we unfold within the corners of the mind. Where reason sleeps, and dreams are left to find. Clouds of thoughts, elusive and overwhelming, drift in and out of our consciousness. Do you possess a unique ability to slip into a world of imagination and introspection, no matter your surroundings? Are you continually nodding on your Zoom calls, exploring alternative realities? KIMHĒKIM is here to empower your dreams. Shine bright.
It all started with a transparent pill slid inside the press deck. All smiles – persistent glances from left to right from the guests until they read: “The pills are harmless but should not be ingested.” They had to set the memo straight away. Bittersweet. Kimintē KimhēKim reenchanted what we have all been manifesting for the last 3 days, a pillow. I was aroused. When your imaginative curfew no longer works, KimhēKim is here with pillows and blankets sublimated into strapless tops and draped couture dresses. We are all dreamers – the collection features insights we’ve been continuously channeling since the pandemic: How can I pimp my pajamas to go on my next date? Well, the designer unravels the blurred lines between reality and reverie with trench coats over sleepwear and whimsical, minimal looks inspired by dream figures such as Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe. A mad crush for the blanket wedding dress paired with white tulle gloves – we’re gonna be dreaming all our life, honey.
KimhēKim embodies the tension between structure and softness through flowing fabrics and delicate, romantic touches. Blazers and skirts are adorned with subtle yet impactful details, like white pearls and BlackWing premium pencils – a Beaux-Arts flex. As celestial motifs, Kimintē KimhēKim’s handwritten notes flow all over the silhouettes, nurturing the value of capturing ideas in their purest and mimicking the transparency of a dream.
Guiding people toward their brightest dreams, KimhēKim’s new ‘Obsession’ series echoes as a sweet anthem, a glimpse of creativity that transcends the ordinary. For the ones that keep on going, don’t lose sight of where you’re headed.
