Reframing A Draping Cult at MOSSI SS25

In folds of fabric, stories hide a silent rhythm of curves that glide. Draping, with its folds, falls, creases, and releases, traverses the mind. A lover’s glance, a dreamer’s plight – while some of us find inspiration in Pokemon cards, Mossi is on an infinite quest for the adaptable nature of draping. As a vow he made to Madame Grès herself – holding it down for the drapers, the designer seeks a unique narrative resonating with younger generations, a vibrant energy encapsulating his vision.

Inclusivity resonates as a motto; MOSSI challenges our inner pre-conceptual notions of couture by seamlessly integrating craftsmanship into everyday wardrobe-essentials. “Draping for everyone” stands like a political statement, the resurgence of a world embracing our uniqueness with a touch of plissé. This season, MOSSI delves into blue Pantones, evoking a sense of limitless possibilities and a forward-thinking spirit. Klein blue radiates on overlapping and layered dresses – a manifesto for Indian tradition and modernity. The designer revives fluid Japanese denim into motion, reaffirming his commitment to craftsmanship and rare fabrics.

Embodying movement, texture, and grace, the collection revolves around artistic expression. Flowing fabrics of tule and cotton are setting the tone. A mad crush for the structural and abstract applied white dress, my new summer essential for a casual stunt on my dates. MOSSI SS25 collection resolutely sharpens the duality of our inner desire for comfort and power – a thoughtful vision of Mossi Traoré’s contemporary interpretations.
