Ephemeral Fragments And Surrealism Rhythms Of The Inner-Self At Robert Wun AW24-25

Time, a healer; time, a thief, bestows grace and bears our sorrow. In moments lost and moments found, time’s essence is profound. Unfolding a couture manifesto, this season, Robert Wun translates the abstract concept of time into a tangible narrative, arising emotions, and candid perspectives.

Silent whispers, a rise from the abyss – a blatant contrast with the Parisian heatwave situation. All eyes on the majestic black gown adorned with crystal embroidery, symbolizing the first snowfall – we’re cooling off in symbiosis. Moments fleeting yet alive, Wun reflects on the essence of who we are, exploring the depths of our minds and connecting with our innermost selves. A journey into surrealism glorifying the 10 years of the label, the collection embraces the beauty found in each instant. Accepting life’s impermanence at the core of Wun’s philosophy – the designer crafts theatrical tableaux defining our existence.

Outta space, as an unreachable paradigm, we contemplate in awe the wide-brimmed hats and vivid mermaid skirts on sculpted silhouettes evolving through the different phases of life and the natural world. Evoking the spirit of rejuvenation, Van Gogh-like butterfly appliqués emerge from the kintsugi coats, symbolizing metamorphosis. Nature is awakening, and we’re here for it – with pink cherry blossom embroidery sublimated on monochrome gowns. In Chinese philosophy, the ephemeral nature of flowers is celebrated; their temporary existence emphasizes the appreciation of beauty in its impermanence.

As a rebirth from Mercury Retrograde, we arouse to a radiant yellow three-piece ensemble, marked by visible burn marks, the erosion of time, or perhaps the migraines triggered by my ex. Wun’s innovative burning technique reminisces the continuous cycle of decay and renewal. Infinite visual tales, as in The Bold and The Beautiful, minus the drama, we’re stripping away from the superficial and reconnecting with our soul. The collection culminates in a trailing veiled gown, layers of tulle embroidered with multicolored crystals shimmering brighter than your favorite rapper diamond chain.

All I Want For Christmas-like, the collection explores our transformative journey into life’s challenges and finding meaning in our experiences. As a visual metaphor for personal growth, we reconnect with our spiritual selves and find peace in the continuity of existence. Mark the rhythm of our hearts, we’re aiming to new beginnings.
