Dear Shaded Viewers,
032c’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, presented during Paris Fashion Week, challenged expectations and blurred the lines between streetwear and high Res fashion. The brand, known for its conceptual approach and social commentary, delivered a show that was both visually striking and intellectually stimulating.
The show took the form of an underground rave as models stomped down the runway to drum and bass sounds the clothes had a down to earth wearability about them. Designer Maria Koch, builds on the brand’s signature blend of Berlin edge and versatile staples, producing a collection that looks firmly towards the future. “I’m not interested in living in a fantasy world. I’m interested in living in a world where antitheses can exist simultaneously, where every fragment is considered, ascending to one thought, a world where everything counts.”
The collection featured well-tailored outerwear offering a sense of structure, whilst feminine suiting brought a touch of elegance. Denim co-ords, designed to seamlessly transition from day to night, provided a versatile option.
Hinting at a duality. Collarless 032c jackets sported gothic lettering in tonal shades, subtly suggesting a potential for nighttime rebellion beneath their daytime polish. Meanwhile, the juxtaposition of utilitarian army parkas and deconstructable cargo pants with boxy vinyl tops blurred the lines between function and fashion. The message? This collection offered pieces that could adapt to your mood and the day’s agenda.
Maria Koch’s 032c is fast becoming a mainstay in Paris, as she proves yet again that transition from media to fashion can be done and done well!
Later,
Bethany
