Dear Shaded Viewers,
Polimoda showcases the creative vision of its students with SHO-KA: Graduation Show 2024 on June 12 at Villa Palmieri. The event featured collections from fashion design students, highlighting their creativity and passion as they debut in the fashion world.
Guided by Massimiliano Giornetti, the show reflects the school’s cultural heritage and emphasizes student uniqueness and expressive freedom. Giornetti describes the theme of metamorphosis as central to the creative journey, inspiring designers and artists throughout history. The term SHO-KA, meaning “transformation for the better,” embodies this evolution.
Eighteen collections, with about 100 looks, were presented by students from diverse backgrounds, representing Polimoda’s values of internationality, inclusiveness, and diversity. Participants include Gabriela Marie Blake (Ecuador), Anna and Silvia Cristofolini (Italy), Olivia Petra Luciana Doose (Canada), Noè Falchi (Switzerland), and others from around the globe. A selection of looks appear above.
The distinguished jury included Stefano Pilati, Gaia Repossi, Giuseppe Angiolini, David Koma, and Marc Goehring.
