Steve Olson, the legendary skater, has been a close friend of mine since the mid-80s when he was dating one of my models, Lovey. Our friendship has endured ever since. Steve attended the first fashion film festival we organized in Los Angeles in 2006, You Wear it Well. Currently, he serves on the jury for ASVOFF 15 and 16. Beyond his skating, Steve is also an accomplished artist and a lifelong friend who never fails to make me laugh. Through him, I met Melissa Alibo, my curator for the Black Spectrum theme at ASVOFF.
