Paris artist Anna Stein opens show in New York

 You might have heard of Hungary-born, Paris-based artist Anna Stein, who makes beautiful bronze jewelry with enormous rocks and crystals. She is also a painter, and just opened a solo show at Aritfact gallery in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Here are some photos of the artist at her opening.

Anna Stein was born on April 23, 1936 in Budapest, Hungary, and shows with various European galleries, like Galerie Arte Viva in Levallois-Perret, and Galerie Florimont in Lausanne. She studied under Jean Souverbie at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and is known for her oil paintings and bronze sculptures. 

Her new series of paintings capture the abstract shapes of trees and tree trunks in illustrious hues of purple and grey. She also has series of dreamy nature paintings which are based on her home in Normandy.
