The first edition of Conero Film + ADV, is an event passionately dedicated to championing sustainable practices within the advertising industry. Led by the Local Bizzarro collective, the event brought together a select group of creative minds, uniting them in a powerful celebration of innovation, conversation, and recognition of exceptional video productions submitted to the festival.
This year’s winners showcased an eclectic mix of independent and commercial projects. For instance Choco Hoax, directed by Alice Fassi, took home Best Production Design. The film serves as a satirical mirror, brilliantly reflecting society’s greenwashing habits and rampant consumerism.
Giuseppe Puocci’s Knotwear People secured Best Sound, paying homage to the artisanal and sustainable knitwear brand Gaia Segattini Knotwear.
Eroica, directed by Nathan De Pas Habib, was crowned Best Cast, inspired by Chino Amobi’s literary work.
Daria Geller’s Everybody Knows, awarded Best Cinematography, emerged as both a compelling music video and a poignant political statement addressing the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Killian Lassablière’s Kukeri earned the title of Best Passion Project, inviting viewers into the captivating world of Bulgaria’s ancient “Kukeri” tradition, designed to ward off malevolent spirits.
Futuri Aprili, directed by the emerging Enrico Bellenghi, received Best Fashion Film with its raw and intimate exploration of youth identity through candid conversations on camera.
In keeping with the festival’s core mission to decentralise the creative industry away from oversaturated urban hubs, the entire Conero community came together between September 1-3. The event welcomed an esteemed international cohort of film directors, editors, producers, and agencies, including Barbara Guieu (Founder, Partner, and Executive Producer – C41), Giuliano Fiumani (SFX Supervisor), MarBelle (Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief – Directors Notes), Mia Powell (Head of Business & Strategy – PRETTYBIRD), Pablo Chocrón (Head of Communications – Canada), Niccolò Montanari (Founder – Curation Hour), and Philipp Ulita (CEO – Berlin Commercial).
The inaugural edition of this groundbreaking event has left its mark, igniting a spark of inspiration within attendees. It has emerged as a transformative format for the film and advertising industry. Conero Film + ADV is not just an event; it is a movement, a testament to the power of creativity and sustainability hand in hand.
