Dear Shaded Viewers,
I have such sweet memories of Romain Kremer back in the days when I went to the Festival d’Hyeres, he was my ‘private dancer’ and quite a great one, funny and of course a talented designer, so this is what he’s up to now:
Today, Kremer returns to his roots, as he decided to create an intimate collection defined and described by Kremer as ‘Sport Couture’.
The collection was designed in solitary in Kremer’s Paris apartment; The garments, highly inspired by athletics, from gymnastics to surf and ice skating, are a fusion of technical garments and sculptural volumes while subtly referencing uniforms of all kinds.
The clash between the chosen materials, like neoprene, while referring to couture practices, aesthetics, and shapes, results in eye-catching and sophisticated yet minimal silhouettes; Athleticism meets romanticism while questioning masculinity.
The collection was chosen by Kremer to be shot and documented in his apartment to create a link between his designs to his creation process.
The collection, composed of 25 individual looks, is a starting point of a distinctive dialogue with customers, which aims to create a collection that evolves in an exclusive form to avoid the traditional ready-to-wear production format.
