Ludovic de Saint Sernin SS24: into the abysms of human concupiscence

Embracing postmodern ethos, dismantling conventional archetypes, this season, Ludovic de Saint Sernin sets free individuals, enabling a newfound sense of liberation in self-expression. The visionary designer, praised for his bold and sensual aesthetics, tackles boundaries and defies expectations – blurring lines in his narrative between fashion, art, and human desire.

The neoclassical Musée des Archives Nationales metamorphosed into an ephemeral dreamscape where sensuality met surrealism. The show transported attendees into a world of sensual allure, where each garment became a work of art celebrating the human form and the brand’s gender-fluid vision.

As whispers of intimacy, androgyne silhouettes were re-envisioned with architectural precision, showcasing LDSS’s unique ability to merge the avant-garde with wearability. Fluid lines and asymmetric cuts accentuated the body’s natural curves, while unexpected cutouts and strategic draping heightened the allure. Translucent layers revealed glimpses of skin, subtly provoking desire and leaving a trail of intrigue in their wake. A mad crush for the audacious dusty earth tone sheer dress, your next subliminal hypnotic attire.

The world-acclaimed LDSS’s signature lace-up briefs are back this season, pimped into a delicate corseted lambskin tailoring. Amen. A slap for moralism. The eroticism culminates through the chokers and knuckle rings designed in collaboration with the New York-based artist Diego Villarreal Vagujhelyi.

The SS24 collection portrays a palette of libidinal elegance encapsulating the essence of Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s artistic vision. The designer seamlessly intertwined the aura of couture, subversive aesthetics, and queer identity with an underlying social commentary. LDSS enlightens us all to reclaim our individuality – embracing the kaleidoscope of human desire in all its forms.
