Backstage with Julia Fox, Front Row Photos and Runway Shots of Luis De Javier’s Show at New York Fashion Week, Photos by Nadja Sayej

We might know Luis De Javier for his boundary-breaking fashion The Spanish designer showcased his first collection at London Fashion Week in 2020, after working under Vivienne Westwood and Gareth Pugh.

He has since carved a space out for a punk aesthetic with latex and horned dresses that most definitely turn heads. De Javier has had his sexy leather pieces in Ashnikko’s music video, has Kylie Jenner wearing his masterpieces on Instagram, and here at New York Fashion Week, had Julia Fox, Richie Shazam, Lourdes Leon, Jemima Kirke, Eartheater, Asa Akira, Georgia Palmer, and Alton Mason walking the runway.

This new collection, sponsored by PornHub, is all about blush pinks, Berghain blacks and mythical horns that add a heightened sense of drama to any runway. Here are backstage, front row and runway shots of the show that stole NYFW. And at this occasion, we have to thank De Javier for keeping it real. Kelly Cutrone was recently interviewed in Interview magazine where she talked about what NYFW has become.

She said: “There’s no criticism at all. But I think Suzy Menkes—want a funny story about her? I did Jeremy Scott for 15 years, and one year somebody from the press office in-house at AEFFE at Moschino had put her next to Kanye. He was really late, and all the cameras were going crazy on her when he arrived. She stood up, and she said, “I’ll either be moved in this very instance, or I’d be very happy to leave.” That was the beginning of the hoopla when suddenly more eyes were on the front row than on the runway, and the old guard was not wanting it. But now it’s the way the Fashion Weeks work, it’s about trying to take that noise and turn it into business.” You can read the full interview here.
