Kim Jones, FENDI Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear was a celebration of the artisans in the atelier showing an emotional commitment to each piece. “The collection is an inner world made into an external one-both figuratively and literally-with a sense of underwear becoming eveningwear.” said Kim Jones.
Highlights were the simple but modern metallic slip dresses. He played with draping, transparencies and the placement of lace. It reminded me of the film title ‘The Unbearable Lightness of Being’ the dresses were meant to be worn with ease and confidence and light as a cool breeze.
