Dear Shaded Viewers,
Welcome to the home of Burc Akyol, taste the warmth of hospitality and a chance to know the Turkish-French designer in an intimate setting of Persian carpets and silhouettes of duchess satin. The designer who previously worked with the houses of Dior, Galliano, Balenciaga and Nicolas Ghesquière presented his COLL02 at the beginning of Paris Fashion Week. There were mother-of-pearls incrusted leather and knitted yarns made of silver to give the ensembles a sparkling sheen while it glided past you. The hooded cloak with a the visor left an impression on the audience. Evening wear made of full satin skirts and corset tops made an appearance alongside swimsuits, flowy caftans and harem pants with open slits to feel the summer breeze.
The designer also used his show as an opportunity to create awareness and lend a voice to the situation in Iran by presenting an ensemble with black hair to send support to the voices of women enduring hardships all over the world.
To create changes in collections takes a considerable amount of effort and perseverance so it makes the statement all the more admirable and worthy of praise.
Later,
Nafiseh
