Meet collector, researcher and media savvy Etienne of My Clothing Archive Collectables

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Etienne is a collector, a researcher and the man behind My Clothing Archive . He has a background in media studies and tries to make the stories behind the garments understandable. His aim to make all the connections between the past, the present and the future. His collection focuses on the 80’s and 90’s for Comme des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake. He researches on clothing he has and he wears them and discusses why the garments are relevant.

He specializes in the media and finds images, videos and re-considers from a media perspective. How you convey certain messages through the collections is what interests him. It is about adapting to multimedia and the materiality of it.  Why is the clothing here now and where it will be in the future and why is his way forward and not to make too much difference between the physical and metaphysical space.

Click the link above and let him tell you of his passion and then visit his site: https://www.myclothingarchive.net/.
