Fendi’s ‘Baguette’ celebrates its 25-year legacy during NYFW with Silvia Venturini, the creator of the original Baguette, Kim Jones, Creative Director at Fendi Women’s and Marc Jacobs

Dear Shaded Viewers,

25 years ago Silvia Venturini designed the Fendi Baguette and to celebrate the iconic ‘Fendi Baguette’ The event was marked by a three-way collaboration. Creative Director Kim Jones invited his long time friend Marc Jacobs to honor the Baguette and Fendi with 10 designs dedicated to the ‘Baguette’. The celebration took place at Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom to 600 people and among them a star studded cast including a blond Kim Kardashian. The baguettes came in all sizes from nano sized to big, some were shiny, fluffy, sparkling or smooth.  Tiffany & Co. presented their own version of the baguette in signature robin’s egg blue. Some pockets were reimagined as baguettes.

Among the many highlights of the event was when Linda Evangelista came out in a voluminous Tiffany blue cape and gown with Silvia Venturini, Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs.
