The Samaritaine Paris en Mode Arty starts tonight through October in Paris

Dear Shaded Viewers,

From today till October 31st the Samaritaine lets art redesign its spaces. Emerging artists, established artists take over the space. From 1900 the founders of Samaritaine, Ernest Cognacz and Marie Louise Jay have been art collectors. Samaritaine Women opens its doors to celebrate art during Design Week in Paris and White Night and the Journees du Patrimoine to celebrate Paris and sculpt the alleys of the shop reinventing itself as a playground for artists. Each floor becomes their exhibition space. Each wall will provide a means for their expression. You will feel the power of colours on the good mood in orange, blood orange, grass green, red like crushed strawberries  all splashed around to create a mood of happiness.

The program includes artists Cecilia Granara, Desire Moheb Zandi and Ella Bats in the windows created by Marion Flament. There will also be live performances throughout September and October brought to you by Leona Rose, Suzan Drummen and the artists of the Factory.  This is the Samaritaine so of course shopping is highlighted with collaborations Etudes confronts Basquiat, Shinzo and Redskins with the artist Mairone. For decoration, Maison Dada meets Leblon-Delienne and his sculptures with a pop culture imprint. There will be an exclusive bottle of Ruinart Champagne numbered and signed by Claude Viallat!
