Yohji Yamamoto launched his first brand Y’s in 1972 always going forward with an identity that never changes. With a capsule collection made from archive images over the past 50 years in collaboration with the photographer Max Vadukul the capsule is made from re-composed “moments” grabbed through out 50 years of history and campaigns.

The focus is on 6 seasons from Spring/Summer 1999 to Autumn/Winter 2001/2002. The 8 images featured in this capsule collection are brand new images made by Vadukul and the creative director, Claudio Dell’Olio.

The images have been re-composed in black and white, spontaneous images of people’s lives where the clothes just exist with them.

From the 8 images of the capsule collection, to be released in November 20224 of them will be exclusively pre-sold at the Y’s OMOTESANDO store, Tokyo, Japan, notably from the Marrakech Spring/Summer 2001 campaign, along with an exclusive T-shirt collection.
