Dries Van Noten is back IRL men wear lingerie and cowboys wear shorts, an invitation to party on, wear DVN and you will always feel protected.

Dear Shaded Viewers,

We were on the rooftop of a parking garage with a welcoming blue sky and a lightness and a brightness in the air. Men came out in what looked like stretch corsets elongating their torsos, guys in shorts and cowboy boots, lots of color and a party vibe in the air. As Dries put it ‘Softness and solidity’. Along with the cowboys there was the after dark dandy, garage scene grifter and the sleepy daydreamer. The idea was fragility seen through the feminine tank tops with spaghetti straps creating lingerie for the man but then slipped over classic pleated trousers.

Great were the biker inspired trousers with cut-out panelling and a new DVN motif on sleeves and a honeycomb grid motif on coats and shirts. When you least expect it a pair of sequined embroidery on cycling shorts.

It is Dries Van Noten so of course there is beautiful tailoring in suits and coats. It is fun, beautiful, timeless, it is Dries Van Noten. He is encouraging you to have fun, be intimate and know that you will always be protected, that is if you are wearing Dries Van Noten, the eternal poet.

Later,

Diane
