Giving you an update on a few current and upcoming exhibitions for the artist ORLAN in Paris and beyond…

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I just wanted to give you an update on a few current and upcoming exhibitions with the artist ORLAN and if you still have not read her autobiography, Strip-Tease Tout Sur Ma Vie, Tout Sur Mon Art, what are you waiting for? It is a great read and a deep insight into the artist herself.

ORLAN was present at the Venice Biennale, Pavillon San Marino in the exhibition “The Milky Way” How Can Art Fix the World curated by Olega Kisseleva till April 23rd. April 30th there will be an evening dedicated to ORLAN’S performances exhibition “In Tribute To Aline Dallier” curated by Diane Quinby at the Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre, 10 rue des Beaux-Arts, 75006, Paris. Colloque “Plasticite du Corps” is currently at the Musee d’Art Moderne et Contemporain et FRAC de Toulouse Les Abattoirs, in Toulouse till May 12th curated by Carole Hoffmann. Also at the same location until August 28th is the exhibition “Manifeste ORLAN- Corps et Sculptures” curated by Julie Crenn and Annabelle Teneze.

A few of the multiple group shows that ORLAN is currently in include: “Le Jardin, Miroir du Monde” curated by Patricia Laigneau at the Chateau du Rivau in Lemere till November 13th, there are too many to list them all.

Coming soon: “Les Femmes Qui Pleurent Sont En Colere” curated by Cecile Debray at the Musee Picasso, from May 17th until September 4th. ORLAN will be in Arles, for the festival of photography “Feminist Avant-Garde” curated by Gabriele Schor La Mecanique Generale, 34 rue du Docteur Fanton, Arles.

Recently ORLAN represented France at the Pavilion of the European Union “The Spirit of Europe”, 9th Biennial of Art of Beijing China, 2022.

ORLAN was chosen once again among the icons of the Centre Pompidou collection with “The Artist’s Kiss”!

I’m also very happy to say I was present when ORLAN was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin.

Later,

Diane
