Dear Shaded Viewers,
1940’s silhouettes, exaggerated proportions, corsetry techniques and a little nipple cleavage took charge on the runway for Pressait. Inspired by a savage Nordic wilderness and 40s shaping we saw cropped oversized coats and hats in faux fur mixed with boxy pantsuits. Snap buttons allowed pieces to be interchangeable and dresses were body con and tight to the floor. Snowflake whites, jet black and burgundy tones dominated the collection and were seen in multiple textures including tweed, vinyl and knit. It was sexy, it was naughty and it showcased a sense of freedom to express ones self without the gender codes through double-sens androgynes styles. You could also see Vincent’s time at John Galliano, Mason Margiela, Saint Laurent and Balmain served him well. It was a strong collection and no doubt big things are ahead.
Later,
Leticia
