Yesterday at the Salle Pleyel, Alexis Mabille unveiled his Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2022 collection, which he named Désir.
“Desire for beauty and charm. Thirst for sensuality and radiance. Desire for a carnal couture” wrote the designer in his press release. The 25 silhouettes of this new collection are elegant, as always, feminine and desirable. It is composed of cocktail dresses mostly long, in shades of nude, shirt dresses or tuxedos with details in sensual lingerie.
The music, mixed by Emmanuel Caurel, speaks of love and the spotlights on the disco balls falling from the sky, have the same effect as the glitter on the skin of the models.
Alexis Mabille matches a tailcoat shirt of embossed silk piqué with a strapless sequin jumpsuit :
A corset body in black satin with a lamé sweatshirt tied at the hips:
Or a large black casimir bow cape with a tulle jumpsuit embroidered with flower garlands :
The materials are noble, Lyon lace, crepe, velvet, satin, organza … women are sublimated.
