A Supernight with RUINART – dinner by the Chef Alexandre Gauthier, art by David Shrigley and Unconventional Bubbles

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Last night I was invited to discover a new surprise location which happens to be in my ‘hood’ by Ruinart.  The dinner was in a converted garage that was made into a cozy location for Unconventional Bubbles by Ruinart and the amazing dinner that was prepared by the Chef Alexandre Gauthier. Ruinart always manages to put together the perfect combination of guests, art, champagne and haute cuisine. Each course came with the perfect Blanc de Blancs, Rose, Do Ruinart, Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs vintage. Six different unconventional bubbles. Ruinart was established more than 290 years ago and is the oldest Champagne House. Every year Ruinart welcomes a contemporary artist to Reims to bring their vision to the celebrated house. David Shrigley is a British artist that predicted the future without really knowing what was about to happen. Actually the last event I attended was just before the lockdown and it was a celebration of Unconventional bubbles and his art. I remember the painting It Won’t Be Like This Forever.

Like the artist Shrigley, Ruinart is concerned about the environment and invests in promoting biodiversity, sustainable viticulture and reducing the carbon footprint and creates the most amazing Champagne.

Later,
