Dear Shaded Viewers,
Issey Miyake is always a highlight of the fashion season, both men and women, we always walk away with a smile and a positive view on life and humanity. Movement is essential in the connection between the body and the material. Harmony is the operative word when trying to articulate what it is about Issey Miyake that we love. Also when I look at the collections I cannot help but imagine the designs on the iconic Tim Blanks and Angelo Flaccavento.
The names of the series of collections are as follow:
Body Arch-made out of 100% recycled polyester, in a range of skin colours and with raglan sleeves for ease of movement.
Oblique-made out of 100% recycled polyester, diagonal lines and thicker than Body Arch, a mix of rigid and soft sensations.
Body Movement-working with the curves of the body on a print made with paint and sand.
